Q&A: Winter blues getting me down

Q – I am feeling very run down this winter. Can you suggest some kind of tonic?

 

A – Winter can be a tough time for our immune system. It is especially important to have excellent nutrition during the winter, and a good multivitamin supplement containing vitamins C, B and zinc can be helpful.  You can also try take Siberian Ginseng (Eleutherococcus senticosus) tincture during the winter months; many people find it a really excellent tonic for energy levels and resistance to illnesses. Siberian Ginseng was given to thousands of factory workers in a study in Russia and had outstanding results on levels of endurance, stamina and recovery rates after illness.
